In the fall of 2013, 12-year-old Addie Branham’s dad was deployed to Afghanistan. Then in February of 2014, while her dad was still deployed, Addie's mom was diagnosed with cancer. She needed a way to get her mind off everything that was going on, so she took some baking classes and found that she had a talent for cake making. Addie now runs Miss Addie's Cakes out of a kitchen in her family's basement in Lehi.
