Have you ever had someone call DCFS on you or have you ever called DCFS on someone? We are talking about this topic because someone called the Department of Children and Family Services on Mariah and Nick Cannon! We called on my husbands brother because he and his wife are drug addicts and have just finished adopting the child. It was a long process I called on a family member. Hardest thing ever - shook the entire phone call. But it was the right thing - lots of verbal and physical abuse and neglect. A little girl called DCFS on my husband as retaliation on our daughter for spreading a rumor Utah has so many people that can't mind their own business and ruin families by calling Dcfs !! Hospital called them after i had my baby cause he had a benzo in his system! It wasnt from me but they didnt believe me. My baby was flown to a bigger ho spital when born too long of a story but he was sick and needed respitory. Turns out they gave him small dose of some anxiety medicine in helicopter and that was what showed up as a benzo! It was their fault not mine and they called protective services for No reason. I am still livid 2 years later My daughter had broken her arm 3 times in 18 months. I was at the time suing the ex. It wasn't a bad experience, just ticked me off . In the following 7 yrs she had added 71 stitches. She's just one of THOSE kids :-) We had to start a file with them to hopefully get custody of my step daughter from her idiot mom. Breaks my heart We called on my cousins baby. She was neglectful of her special needs baby. The good news? That baby is now my healthy little brother thanks to our adopotion! Yes, called on my sister. Her boy was being sexually abused, she didn't believe it. My ex called on me cause I was with someone else so he told them my dog bit my daughter it was horrible When I was 3 my daycare found a bruise on my butt i told them my dad beat me with a belt....hhahah he didn't dcsf came to my day care. My dad was put on a list I did call on my ex sil b4. Saw her kicking her teenage son repeatedly. Happened more than once and she smoked pot with him. I called on some1 in my family for drug use. Our pediatrician actually called them on us for switching to a different doctor Dcfs was called on my mom when I was little I have a disabled sister and her teacher noticed bruises on her. My sis was taken away for a while My neighbr about 5 yrs ago left her crying 2 yr old son in hs carseat in thr truck in july for 30 minutes to disipline him.... My friends parents hit him and threaten him with a knife and said if they took there life blame it on him I got badly hurt in grade school. The doctor and nurse pulled me aside to question me. Found out later from my mom they thought that my parents hit me When my daughter wss a baby she was in her walker and went over to my plugged in curling iron and pulled in down on her, well it burned her and the daycare lady called DCFS on me My friends daughter got the cord from the blinds around her neck & jumped off the bed to see if she could fly. She had a rope burn ear to ear dcfs came My husband called on his ex wife cause we found out she left their 2 year old home alone My neighbor called dcfs on me after we got in a fight , and got charges filed on her for filing a false report My son worked for DCFS. They see a lot of tragedy. The worse was taking a 5 month old from a tweeked out meth addict. She said take the f-ing kid. He quit Called them on my drug addicted cousin with 3 kids. She's Married to an abusive x con. Her stepmom works for the state and found our that it was me who called I work for DCFS and trust me, a lot of the calls we get are totally stupid! However, if there is a concern it SHOULD be called in! Some times it is worse than you could imagine and other times it is nothing. We are trained to figure it out. :) I would never say a 2 year old has too many toys though!! Lol! I know someone that leaves their 5 & 7 year old home alone.
