Do you fake having an accent? Do you know someone with a thick accent and you can't understand them?

Friend of mine was born in Scotland but moved here when he was little. He still has a heavy accent but its totally fake. I catch him without it sometimes


I know a lady who breaks out into brittish accent when she is scared or nervous. It happened at a restaurant and i was so embarrassed. Lol
