Tell us about your firework mishaps! My moms neighbor 2yrs ago put a firework (the illegal ones at the time that shot up into the air), the wind knocked it down and it shot into the direction I was, landed on my flip flop and exploited! I thought I lost my toes! went to the emergency room the next day and going out I broke 3 toes and had 3rd degree burns! Hubby bought one of the new legal ones. Used it for finale. One of the barrels off if it hit me in the arm. Felt burning. Now have a 5" welt and bruise. We didn't light off the air ones. But the neighbors did. I had to put out a small fire in my backyard We had a aerial firework blow up on the ground instead of the air pelting all off us with the fire, and debris that came from it. And while we were taking care of that our neighbors back yard was on fire right next to our garage that holds all of our four wheleers, gas, paints, welding equipment..etc 1st aerial firework of the night shot the first 2 shots fine but then it tipped on its side and shot one across the street, one at the neighbors house and one into the crowd. No one hurt but the one that shot at the house lit their front door wreath on fire. After that all aerial fireworks were duct taped to a board to keep them up straight We had a few explode on the windshield of a truck A neighbor of mine lit an arial firework and it fell over. It went across the street and caught another neighbor's tree on fire We were lighting off flowers. I threw one in the air it landed on the ground and bounced into my neighbors yard and started a fire I was playing "war" with roman candles, and it was fun until I got hit in the neck, burned through my shirt, 3rd degree burn on my neck and an ER visit. Doctor said I was lucky because it could have ruptured my jugular. Ouch. Our last firework was an aerial one and I'm pretty sure it was defective. When we lit it, it shot in every direction possible. When it was all done, the neighbors wood fence was on fire. We couldn't find a hose so one of the people we were with peed on it and put the fire out. Had embers from fireworks get caught under my wedding ring and burn a hole in my skin Spent the weekend in bear lake, watched the fireworks across the lake while on the beach. Someone had firework malfunction, all of a sudden you just saw lights going every direction but up, and could just hear blood curdling screams and see dark figures running around trying to get out of the way
