Did you fall for a scam?
My friend and I got scammed out of 200$ a piece for fake ID's in NYC... Totally sucked.
My sis in law bought a vcr from someone in a van. Got home And it was a box full of bricks. :(
my little sister got sucked in by someone saying she won contest and that she had to send them her bank account information in order for them to deposit the money. there was over 4000 dollars missing from their account by the time she figured it out, I couldn't believe that she was so naive as to believe them! wow!
Western Union'd $1,500 for a car loan offer; off of the internet.
Fell for the speaker scam.. 2 guys in a truck pull up say they have extra speakers from a job where they ordered too many.. showed me there fake catalog showing they were worth 2000 dollars said they would take whatever i spent 400 and they are probably worth 50 bucks
I was on KSL looking for a job and fell for a "personal assistant" position posted. They told me i would be getting paid very well by just getting supplies for orphanages. They asked for all my personal info and gave it to them! Later, stupidly realizing it was a scam. I then fell for the same two more times after that.
Oh I bought the speakers from the guys in the van... It was a full sound system that worked, but no where near worth the $600 I paid the fools
My mom fell for that scam and now the bank has closed and her account n reported she did fraud when she was the victim and police report was filed. Now she can't get an account with any bank :(
I got one of those checks. The check was real and the account number was real but the name on the account was bogus and the bank was in ome state and the company was in another. I was to cash it in order to pay for the shipping for the 500,000 cash reward I had won
I was scammed by those stupid modeling agencies. Cost me more than $1000 in court fees.
Scanned out of a $3,000 van, the people created a phony money transfer website which actually exists but the link they sent in the email went to their created one.
My ex paid a thousand for ten wii they were popular then .. he got a pair of shoes in the mail.
Bought a painting from a door salesman that claimed he was an art student from israel. Painting was some cheap print probably from china.
My friend got scammed by a person on yahoo messenger this so called girl said she was ms Utah and he believed it and sent 22 grand for there so called wedding before he told anyone Haha some people
In highschool a kid was arrested in my computer class one day. We later found out he sold a poster of a Mercedes on eBay but posed it as a real car and sold it to a guy for thousands of dollars. The guy he sold it to reported it and he was investigated and arrested. He did the whole transaction in our 6th period computer class. He never returned to class or school.
I got a call one time saying they were calling in behalf of Wells Fargo and I was being sued for opening a credit card and not paying it I have never had a Wells Fargo card so I said I wanted to fight it they told me there would be lots of fees and I could pay $2000 and it would drop the charges I told them to send me the court papers never saw them or heard from them again
I was needing a job so my brother told me to look on craigs list and I found his job to be personal secretary so sent my resume got emIl back she had me to all this paper work for her sent be a check for $4500.00 and gold me to buy computer and send off $2300.00 to this person in different country va western union and the check cleared that day now it came back fraud and now in lawsuit with the bank this was two years ago d was ordered to pay. Still haunts me. they should not be allowed to do that to anyone.
When I was 18 I signed up for a "free class" on modeling. 8 yrs later I was arrested for it. Went to court they said I owed this company 5,000 dollars and was ordered to pay. Still haunts me. they should not be allowed to do that to anyone.
I got scammed by someone with the western union thing too. I was trying to sell my wedding dress to pay off some medical bills, and needless to say my dress got shipped to nigeria and I didn't get any money. Sucks!
shouldn't have given them 2 credit card #'s...My wallet is $600 lighter and my computer no faster :(
Everyone makes fun of me cause I got scamed on a tea cup yorkie. I spent over 250 trying to ship this dog from zimbawa africa. It was a total scam via western union ): i should have known and for about a week i had people calling me from africa telling me my dog was in the airport but couldn't be shipped due to bad weather and i kept having to pay to keep her there, i realized what was going on and stoped paying. No more dogs from zimbawa anymore.
