I have an amazeballs story that our family wants to share with you. Our dog Sweetie was abused. Sweetie was burned, dragged and pulled from the back of a truck. We saw Sweetie's story 7 years ago on the news and her story touched our hearts. We adopted her and she changed our lives. Sweetie brought joy, happiness and many giggles to our family, but the biggest lesson she taught our family was forgiveness. Sweetie passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013. This loss has been huge for our family. We were not quite sure how to handle our grief. Then, something beautiful happened. Our family decided to "pay it forward" and bring joy and happiness to someone else in need the way Sweetie did for our family everyday, but how would we do this? We decided to start the Sweetie Scholarship Fund to bring joy and happiness to a student. We were able to contact Alex Cabraro, the original reporter on her story seven years ago on KSL news and see if he would follow up the story that was "seven years in the making" He did so. Our hearts desire to make this scholarship grow in love to the "moon and back" We desire this to be more than what our family can just contribute to it. Please help us bring joy and happiness to someone else and "pay it forward" like our beautiful dog Sweetie paid it forward to our family everyday with joy, laughter, giggles and happiness.
The web address if you would want to actually watch Sweetie's story is http://www.ksl.com/?sid=27721000 The title is "Abused early in life, Sweetie the dog lived happily ever after." We would be so grateful in helping this story to grow. Thank you for bringing so many giggles to me and my boy when we go into school and work together.
It has been great! Have a wonderful holiday season and THANK YOU! Sincerely, Lynelle Brinkerhoff (aka Lenny)
Friend of the show Storm Chaser Jim Reed caught a glimpse of the big 747 cargo plane (taking off) that landed at the wrong airport Wednesday. It's runway wasn't big enough to handle a jet it's size taking off. They're were able to finagle it & were successful at taking off.
